Every once in a while, a journey unfolds that reminds me why I truly love what I do. It started with a heartfelt referral from a past PCSing client – to a wonderful military family starting their own home-buying adventure.

Our first conversation was a detailed buyer consultation over the phone, where we dove deep into their needs and wants. I always ask: “What are the features you would absolutely love to have? What do you envision in your home, realistically?” This sweet first-time homebuyer immediately lit up talking about “character and charm,” specifically mentioning arched openings. While they preferred a single-family home, I think they thought they would have to settle for a townhouse if that’s what the market offered.

And so, the hunt began. We saw many townhomes, and along the way, we made a few offers. One in particular ended in deep disappointment, it’s tough. You pour your hopes into a place, and when it slips away, it stings. But I always remind my buyers: “What’s meant to be will be. There’s something even better waiting for you, so let’s keep looking.” In my 26 years, I have found this to be true every time. <3

Then, just when we needed it, something truly special popped up. We raced out to see it, and immediately, there was a different feeling. We crafted an offer, confident in its value, even though it was less than the asking price. And they got the home! The inspection went smoothly, a wonderful sign. We did have to adjust the closing date a bit to accommodate the PCSing seller, but with everyone’s flexibility, it worked out perfectly.

The home they bought? It had a beautiful screened porch – a quiet space that was on their “wish list.” And the interior? It too had the “arched openings” that the buyer had envisioned from our very first conversation.

Recently, this sweet couple officially closed on their new home. And I got to be there for a moment that truly fills my heart: when their kids saw the house for the first time. The pure, unadulterated joy in their eyes, running through the rooms, exploring their new space – it’s magical. These are the moments that truly define this profession for me, seeing that happiness in my clients eyes.

This success wouldn’t be possible without an incredible team behind the scenes. A massive thank you to Laura Beck & Sam Pickett at Seashore Title – you consistently take such great care of my clients, making every closing seamless! And James Walrod, your team did an amazing job getting us a clear to close 9 days early! I am absolutely IMPRESSED!

Another great transaction, another pair of happy clients. ❤️ Cheers to many happy memories made in your beautiful new home!
